September 10th The MR-RC and SPWCC at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb

Approx 25 cars attended from the Midland Rolls-Royce Club, Jensen Owners Club and our lot. Very enjoyable day with all having a thoroughly good time. A good mixture of cars, including 2 fabled motors from the Jensen stable, Alan's FF and Richards SP, the most powerful Jensen ever, with 221 examples built. The SP stands for six-pack, meaning it has 6 venturis, 7.2L V8 and 375BHP under the bonnet. A few early Rolls Royces, Alan's Phantom 1, a 20HP and a 20/25 together with a couple of new models. Dave Finch was a bit annoyed as he was flagged down half way up, but was happier when he was told he could have another go. He was like a dog with 2 tails afterwards. A good selection of cars from our club from Geoff's '33 Rover sports through Mike Dancer's MGA to Pete Fox in his 2018 Fiesta.
No vehicles damaged, none failed to proceed, but lots of silly grins at the top.
Cream teas were enjoyed by many attendees afterwards in what was a very civilised afternoon.
